Conceptual framework for compiling Adaptive Govenance Solutions

RescueME Adaptive Governance Tools

The Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction (SFDRR) explicitly references heritage and the importance of integrating it into disaster risk reduction strategies. In addition, Priority 2 of the SFDRR is entitled “Strengthening disaster risk governance to manage disaster risk”. This calls for the need for experts, policymakers, and practitioners to focus on strengthening governance structures in response to disasters.

Aim of the work in RescueME was to compile a series of reliable and replicable ready-to-use adaptive governance solutions, that cultural heritage stakeholders can implement in their unique contexts. Thus here we outline a series of transferable Adaptive Governance Solutions (AGSs). The AGSs serve as recognizable and replicable tools, good practices and solutions that stakeholders could implement.
